Andes Beer: Teletransporter - Ad that goes viral

You cannot create 'viral ad.'
You can only create an ad... and if you're lucky, your ad goes viral

This blog's topic shows an example of the ad that goes viral, which in this case is a very creative and innovative Beer's ad campaign.

(and actually some people said 'this deserves a Nobel prize... for PEACE!')

The story started with the leader beer in the Andina Region of Argentina, known as " Andes Beer." The brand said it understands what men need and finds a solution for them, which is "Teletransporter."

After watching this video, you would have no doubt why this ad goes viral!
With over 750,000 views and over 2,200 likes, these show an obvious good result for Andes Beer.

However, in order to justified if the ad was successful or not, it would depend on the objectives of Andes Beer - if they want to increase brand awareness, increase sales or they actually aim for something else.

If this ad's objective was to increase sales, the fact that this ad being heard in other regions like Asia or Australia would not mean anything to Andes Beer.

What do you think of this ad campaign?
What is the purpose of the ad?

  1. In my opinion, it can gain more interesting from men who enjoy the nightlife without any problem with his girlfriend.
For men, this ad campaign will be successful because it is a creative ad its make everything seem to be fun and very interesting in new innovative campaign because its represent the new way or choice for men to tell lie to their girlfriend but it seem to be a bad news for women like me who needs honest from boyfriend.

For the purpose, this ad os going to present that Andes Beer understands what the men need and try to fix the main obstruct for men by created the Teletransporter for those men. The brand is standing inside of men and support them. It can create the brand awareness from interesting ad and also it can become the first brand in their mind because men will remember the ad and brand.

    1. haha at first when I watched this ad, I thought that the purpose of this ad would be to create brand awareness. but when I realised that Andes Beer is actually the leader in beer industry in Argentina, I'm doubt what the purpose would actually be. because by the word 'brand leader,' the brand is expected to be well-known then.

But well, true.. I guess the purpose would be to spread the word around, to be on top of the mind, and to show that they understand their target market's need (men's needs)

  2. After watched this ad I got interested in the machine than the beer haha. Maybe because I'm a woman and don't like to drink alcohol.
If the transporter were really exist I would use that when my parents call me LOL. I would like to have the machine not beer ;P

    1. The transporter really exists! (but in Argentina lol)
This is a brilliant idea. It's something that no one would expect to really happen in the real world. but well, since it does happen, no doubt why people would spread word of mouth about this ad, right? haha

  4. I think this Ad shows great creativity and what makes people like this Ad is that, it gives us a glimpse of "I wish we have a 'Teletransporter'in real life" kind of feeling.
For me Advertisements are a real incentive as I watched this Advertisement their Beer Brand is pretty much stuck in my head, not only will I be helping them advertise about it- since I would definitely talk about it. But they would also recive better recognition of their brand through people's communication.
